We recently “restyled” a suit that was 50 years old for an 80 year old Gentleman so enough said.

How does your Plymouth appointment begin?

Here's a simplified look at how you can start creating your own tailor-made suit, without needing to make the trip to Exeter for that all-important first conversation.

Don't worry if you don't know where to begin, we're here to help with ideas on style, fit and cloth from the very first appointment.

At the moment we're offering occasional visiting appointments in Plymouth, currently expected to be held at the Duke of Cornwall Hotel (venue and exact September dates to be confirmed).

If a Plymouth date isn't available when you'd like to come in, you're just as welcome at our Exeter studio, and we're happy to arrange a day and time to suit a trip down the A38.

Let's start with booking. You may already have ideas about the suit you want, so feel free to bring along some photos, or even an old favourite suit that's seen better days.

Choose your cloth
About the cloth: we bring a considered selection to Plymouth, including wool, cashmere, silk, cotton and linen from a local mill and from a Savile Row supplier with thousands of options, with our full Exeter range available to see if you'd like more choice.

Choose your lining
Adding the lining is a perfect way to give the suit your signature, and if it's for a wedding, why not choose something that will always remind you of your special day.

We make it unique
Embroidery is a lovely way to make the suit extra special too, if it's for a memorable occasion, why not add the date and your names to the lining? All of this can be discussed at your Plymouth appointment.

Once you've chosen your cloth, lining and buttons with us in Plymouth, we'll invite you to our Exeter studio to begin the fitting process. During the measuring, Sharif will not only take your vital statistics but also observe any unique characteristics about your body shape and posture, no one is perfect, and things we do every day, from sport to sitting at a desk, can affect posture and fit, so these are all considered when creating your suit.

During your Exeter appointment Sharif will invite you to try on some of our lovely suits, giving him the chance to see your body shape in a suit and allowing you to settle on your final style, covering everything from lapels and pockets to belt loops and more. You may even reconsider your original ideas about the suit you thought you wanted.

Once this is complete, we'll require a 50% deposit and begin the work. After about 6 weeks we'll invite you back to Exeter for your first fitting, and from there the whole process should take around 10 weeks door to door, though if you need something quicker we're happy to discuss it with you.
