A Unique Wedding Suit Tailored from Robert’s Own Sheep's Wool
Robert's wedding story begins with a unique request that highlights his deep connection to his farming heritage. He and his father visited our boutique last year with an intriguing proposal: they wanted a wedding suit made from wool sourced directly from their own sheep.
The wool they brought in was quite old and had a sentimental value, as it was woven from their sheep. They had tried working with another tailor previously but weren't completely satisfied with the results. After several discussions and careful consideration, Robert decided to trust us with this special project.
Robert opted for a three-piece suit, which we tailored to reflect his personal style and the significance of the occasion. To complement the natural colour of the wool, he chose an art deco lining from Bernstein and Banleys, adding an elegant contrast to the suit.
To personalise the suit further, we embroidered his family's ancient wool mark into the jacket. This detail not only added a unique touch but also celebrated his family's long-standing connection to farming.
The wedding took place at The Church of All Saints in Monksilver, Somerset, providing a picturesque backdrop that perfectly matched the authenticity and personal significance of Robert’s bespoke suit. This suit wasn’t just a garment for a day; it was a piece of personal and family history, crafted to be cherished forever.
Robert's story is a testament to how deeply personal and meaningful wedding attire can be, especially when it connects directly to one's heritage and personal story.
We would like to congratulate Robert and Debbie and are so proud to have been a part of such a unique story and wonderful time in their lives.
